About Karachi tours

Karachi is Pakistan's largest city, its economic engine and main seaport, a vast, restless metropolis on the Arabian Sea that offers a very different experience from the country's mountains and heritage towns. Founded as a small fishing settlement and grown into a city of many millions, it blends colonial-era grandeur, modern commerce and a sprawling, multicultural street life. Its landmarks range from the white marble Mazar-e-Quaid, the mausoleum of the nation's founder, to the elegant Mohatta Palace, the colonial facades of Saddar and Frere Hall, and the long sweep of Clifton and Sea View beaches. Karachi is above all a city of food and energy, famous for its street food, seafood and the legendary eateries of Burns Road and Boat Basin, and for boat trips to the lighthouse island of Manora and the beaches towards Mubarak Village. While not a conventional scenic destination, it is the gateway for southern Pakistan and a fascinating stop for travellers drawn to urban life, history and the coast. The cooler, drier winter months are by far the most pleasant time to visit.
