Fairy Meadows in 2 Nights: The Realistic Plan

Fairy Meadows is best as a two-night stop slotted into a northern trip. Here is the realistic plan, allowing for the jeep, the walk and the weather.
Day 1 — Raikot Bridge to the meadow
Leave the Karakoram Highway at Raikot Bridge for the famous jeep track to Tato village, then walk two to three hours uphill to the meadow at 3,300m. The Nanga Parbat Raikot face fills the skyline.
Day 2 — Base camp viewpoint
A full-day hike past Beyal Camp to the viewpoint above the Raikot glacier and Nanga Parbat base camp. Back to the meadow for a second night under exceptional stars.
Day 3 — Descent
Walk down to Tato, jeep to Raikot Bridge, and rejoin the highway towards Hunza or Chilas.
Frequently asked questions
Why two nights, not one? A single night leaves no time for the base-camp hike, which is the point of going.
Is it strenuous? The uphill walk and the day hike need moderate fitness; ponies help with the first.
When is it open? Roughly May to October.
