Best Time to Visit Hunza: Blossom vs Autumn

Hunza has two showcase seasons that look like completely different valleys. Here is how to choose between them — and what the rest of the year offers.
Quick guide
| Window | What you get |
|---|---|
| Apr – May | Cherry and apricot blossom across the terraces |
| Jun – Aug | Warm, clear, Khunjerab open — peak |
| Oct – Nov | The famous golden autumn colour |
| Dec – Mar | Cold, quiet, snow on the peaks |
Blossom (April)
For a few weeks the valley fills with pink and white blossom against the snow peaks. Dates shift yearly with the weather, so build in flexibility.
Autumn (late October)
The orchards turn amber and red — the most photographed Hunza of all. It peaks around the third week of October, slightly earlier higher up in Gojal.
Frequently asked questions
